About the artwork
The wooden chairs with knitted coir for seats were not uncommon in India in the 80s. Many homes still have it today. To me, these seats represent the transition into a middle-class family, which was the result of extreme hard work by our grandparents. For my parents, this sofa was a symbol of pride and responsibility. But what does it represent to us today? Is it an antique? Does it add to the aesthetics of your home? Does it make you think of collective thought patterns of abundance?
Ships across the USA and India.
